Are you a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse with a passion for providing exceptional care to our elderly community? Do you have at least 1 year of nursing experience in New Zealand and enthiusiasm for making a positive difference in the lives of others? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you based in Hamilton.
We are currently seeking a dynamic and empathetic Registered Nurse to join a supportive team in delivering high-quality care to residents as an integral member of the Aged Care team. You'll play a vital role in enriching the lives of elderly residents and fostering a nurturing environment where they feel valued, respected, and cherished.
Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands-on care in accordance with established nursing practices and standards
- Leadership and Supervision: Lead, supervise, and guide other members of the healthcare team, ensuring seamless coordination of care and adherence to established protocols
- Medical Instructions: Ensure accurate and timely administration of medical instructions and procedures, meticulously documenting and monitoring resident health status to ensure optimal outcomes
- Proactive and Person-Centric Service: Engage with residents and their families in a proactive and person-centric manner, fostering open communication, empathy, and trust
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives, contributing ideas and insights to enhance the overall quality of care provided to our residents
Requirements
- NZQA level 7 nursing qualification
- A current NZ Practicing Certificate
- Experience in palliative care, dementia, and InterRAI is preferred but not essential
