Seeking a dedicated, NZ registered teacher to join an outstanding team working with a range of neurodiverse students


We are looking for a dedicated Arts Teacher with a strong commitment to special education. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the unique needs of neurodiverse students and will be able to design and implement engaging and accessible arts curriculum. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to foster a love for the arts and support the overall development of our students.


About the role
We are seeking a teacher who can inspire and engage neurodiverse ORS funded students in learning opportunities that will enable them to reach their potential. The ideal candidate will be trained to understand and address the diverse needs of neurodiverse students. They can tailor educational strategies and resources to help each student reach their potential.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive arts curriculum tailored to the needs of students with diverse learning abilities.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and social interaction.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with special education teachers, therapists, and other staff to integrate arts education with students' individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Assess and track students' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
  • Stay current with best practices in special education and arts instruction.




Key requirements

  • NZ Registered teacher
  • Certification in Special Education preferred but not essential.
  • Experience working with neurodiverse students and a strong understanding of their unique needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity, patience, and a genuine passion for teaching and the arts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.



In return
The base salary for trained and registered teachers from overseas will range from $53,544 to $90,000, depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience. Individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
