My wife and I were looking to immigrate from South Africa to New Zealand from before the Covid19 Lockdown, the lockdown put a near 2 year delay on our plans, with borders closing around the world and Immigration New Zealand halting all Visa applications. In March 2022 Immigration New Zealand opened up the Critical Purpose Visitors Visa and both my wife and I started applying for jobs in New Zealand, as anyone knows New Zealand has a catch 22 situation where you need a job offer in order to apply for a visa and a visa in order to be employed.
