Seeking a dedicated, NZ registered Physiotherapist to join an outstanding team working with a range of neurodiverse students.


We are looking for an experienced and empathetic Physiotherapist to provide high-quality therapy services to neurodiverse students.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the physical challenges faced by neurodiverse individuals and be able to design and implement effective treatment plans. You will work closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support the physical development and well-being of our students.


About the role

  • Conduct assessments to determine the physical needs and abilities of neurodiverse students
  • Develop and implement individualized physiotherapy plans to address specific needs and goals
  • Provide direct therapy services, including exercises, stretches, and other interventions
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate physiotherapy goals into students' overall education plans
  • Educate and train staff and parents on techniques to support students' physical development
  • Maintain up-to-date records and provide regular reports on students' progress



Key requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy
  • Have a current practising certificate issued by the Physiotherapy Board of NZ
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Sensitivity to cultural and ethnic diversity and a commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
  • A current driver's licence and vehicle

Kaiārahi i te Reo, Therapists', ATSSD and Special Education Assistants' Collective Agreement applies to this position and salary is commensurate with qualification and experience. With the settlement of the Therapists' Pay Equity claim, salary will be adjusted accordingly, in the latter part of this year
